Monotype printmaking is a process in which you can use a combination of painting and printmaking techniques. It results in a one-of-kind image that is developed on a flat , smooth surface; with oil or waterbased mediums and then transferred to another surface usually paper. The transfer can be done by hand or press. I do all my transfers by hand on Rives BFK printmaking paper.
